SR Technics has been providing CFM56 engine maintenance services to Citilink since 2024, with the work carried out at the company’s engine maintenance facility in Zurich.
The cooperation supports Citilink’s efforts to return aircraft to service and maintain available fleet capacity. Engine maintenance is a key part of the reactivation process, requiring inspection, repair and servicing of engines before aircraft can return to commercial operations.
The programme also gives Citilink access to SR Technics’ CFM56 engine MRO capabilities in Zurich, with maintenance work tailored to the airline’s operational requirements.
“Building lasting customer relationships requires more than technical excellence. It requires responsiveness, collaboration and a shared commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes,” said Owen McClave, CEO of SR Technics. “Our partnership with Citilink demonstrates the value of working closely together to address evolving operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability. We are grateful for the trust Citilink has placed in SR Technics and look forward to continuing this successful journey together.”
For Citilink, the engine maintenance programme forms part of a broader effort to accelerate aircraft reactivation and increase fleet availability. Returning stored or inactive aircraft to service can require coordinated work across engines, airframe systems, components and other maintenance areas.
“We are pleased to strengthen our collaboration with SR Technics as part of Citilink’s ongoing efforts to accelerate aircraft reactivation. This collaboration has contributed to expediting the return of our aircraft to service, further enhancing our fleet readiness and operational capacity. As we continue to strengthen our operations, strategic partnerships such as this play an important role in supporting our commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence. This collaboration also reinforces Citilink’s operational resilience and supports our long-term growth,” said Darsito Hendroseputro, President & CEO of Citilink.

The ongoing CFM56 work adds to SR Technics’ engine MRO activity with Indonesian operators and demonstrates the continued maintenance demand for the CFM56 fleet. For Citilink, access to external engine shop capacity supports its aircraft reactivation programme while providing additional maintenance capability for its operating fleet.
With the programme continuing from 2024, SR Technics and Citilink are maintaining an established engine MRO arrangement focused on CFM56 maintenance and the airline’s fleet availability requirements.
