Safran Electronics & Defense appoints AES as APAC civil helicopter distributor

Safran Electronics & Defense has signed a distribution agreement with Aviation & Electronics Support Pte. Ltd. (AES), appointing the Singapore-based company as a distributor for its civil helicopter products across several countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The agreement was signed during MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 in Singapore and expands Safran Electronics & Defense’s regional distribution network for civil helicopter systems.

Under the agreement, AES will distribute Safran’s civil helicopter solutions across key product areas, including cockpit, flight control, actuation and lighting systems. Based in Singapore, AES will support Safran Electronics & Defense in strengthening its presence closer to customers across the Asia-Pacific market.

The partnership is intended to improve regional access to Safran’s civil helicopter products while providing customers with greater proximity and responsiveness for their requirements.

Asia-Pacific remains an important market for civil helicopter operations, with operators and maintenance organisations requiring reliable access to aircraft systems, components and aftermarket support.

Through AES’s regional presence, Safran Electronics & Defense will be able to further develop its customer engagement and distribution capabilities across selected Asia-Pacific markets.
