Distribution Solutions Group acquires American Fasteners to expand MRO business

Distribution Solutions Group (DSG) has acquired American Fasteners Corp. (AFC), a South Florida distributor of fasteners, tools, construction supplies and other industrial products, strengthening DSG’s MRO business and expanding its presence in the region.

The acquisition will broaden DSG’s customer base and geographic reach in the South Florida market while providing additional access to export markets across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Founded in 1981, American Fasteners has established a reputation for customer service and product expertise. The company distributes a range of industrial products, including fasteners, power tools, anchors, cutting tools, adhesives, abrasives and sealants. It primarily serves the construction and related end markets through three locations across South Florida.

DSG Chairman and CEO J. Bryan King said the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its MRO operations through businesses that strengthen its capabilities, customer relationships, and geographic footprint.

American Fasteners founder Manny Benitez said joining DSG and working with its Lawson Products business would provide customers and suppliers with access to a broader product portfolio and additional resources to support future growth.

American Fasteners generates approximately $39 million in annual revenue and is expected to contribute positively to DSG’s EBITDA margin profile. DSG financed the acquisition through its existing cash reserves and available capacity under its amended credit agreement.

The deal further expands DSG’s MRO distribution platform while increasing its ability to serve customers across South Florida and international markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.
