China Airlines selects REVIMA for Boeing 787 APU MRO

China Airlines has selected REVIMA for a long-term auxiliary power unit (APU) maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreement covering the airline’s Boeing 787 fleet.

Under the agreement, REVIMA will provide Power By The Hour (PBTH) support for the APS5000 APUs installed on China Airlines’ 787 aircraft.

The support package includes APU and line-replaceable unit (LRU) repairs, as well as predictive maintenance. The arrangement is intended to provide ongoing component support and maintenance planning for the airline’s APU fleet.

“Ours is a long-term agreement structured to provide maximum value to China Airlines, from top-quality support to best-in-class lifecycle management of its B787 APU fleet,” said Olivier Legrand, president and chief executive of REVIMA.

The agreement adds China Airlines to REVIMA’s APS5000 APU support activities and expands the company’s long-term APU MRO work with commercial operators.

Legrand said REVIMA was pleased to be selected by China Airlines and highlighted the agreement’s focus on long-term APU lifecycle support.

The APS5000 is an auxiliary power unit supplied by Pratt & Whitney for the Boeing 787 family. APU maintenance includes inspection, repair, and overhaul of the unit and its associated components, with predictive maintenance increasingly used to identify potential issues before unscheduled removals.
