Aerotec Group has strengthened its MRO portfolio with the acquisition of Kirtika, a Croatia-based specialist in Wheels & Brakes (W&B) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services.
The acquisition marks a strategic step in Aerotec Group’s expansion, enhancing its in-house maintenance capabilities while broadening the range of specialised services available to commercial aviation customers. Kirtika has built a strong reputation for providing certified maintenance support to airlines, MRO providers and aircraft operators across Europe.
With the addition of Wheels & Brakes and NDT capabilities, Aerotec Group is further strengthening its position as a comprehensive aviation MRO provider. The integration will enable the company to deliver a wider portfolio of maintenance solutions while offering customers improved operational efficiency through a single-service network.
The acquisition also expands Aerotec Group’s presence in Croatia, where the company already operates aircraft painting and engine-related maintenance facilities. By bringing Kirtika into its portfolio, Aerotec is creating additional synergies between its existing maintenance services and specialised component support.
Sandi Name, Vice President Operations at Aerotec Group, said the acquisition represents another important milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy. “The team at Kirtika has built a strong reputation through its expertise in Wheels & Brakes and NDT services. Adding these capabilities to Aerotec Group significantly strengthens our ability to provide customers with comprehensive aviation maintenance solutions,” he said.

He added that the acquisition reflects Aerotec’s commitment to expanding its technical capabilities and investing in services that support the evolving needs of airline and MRO customers.
The move comes as demand for integrated MRO solutions continues to grow, with operators increasingly seeking service providers capable of delivering multiple maintenance capabilities under one organisation. By combining airframe support with specialised component maintenance, Aerotec Group aims to improve turnaround times, operational flexibility and long-term customer support across its expanding European network.
