West Star Aviation has launched a live Aircraft on Ground (AOG) technician tracking map, providing business aviation operators with real-time visibility into its nationwide mobile maintenance network.
The interactive map displays technician locations across the United States. Users can select individual map points to view details such as technician call signs, technical expertise, and assigned regions, helping operators identify available support when an aircraft is grounded away from its home base.
West Star Aviation said its AOG network includes more than 250 technicians available for mobile maintenance support, operating around the clock throughout the year. The company provides on-site maintenance services for aircraft requiring technical assistance outside its fixed-base facilities.
A dedicated AOG control center, staffed by 12 controllers, coordinates technician dispatch and provides 24/7 support. The new map adds a visibility tool to this coordination structure, allowing operators to view the geographic distribution and technical capabilities of the mobile workforce.

For business aviation operators, access to mobile maintenance can help reduce the time an aircraft remains grounded while awaiting technical assistance. The availability of technicians with the required expertise is particularly relevant when troubleshooting defects, carrying out repairs, and returning aircraft to service away from established maintenance bases.
West Star said it has expanded technician staffing and strengthened its AOG resources in response to growing demand for mobile support. The company’s new map is available through its website.
