Lufthansa Technik Philippines adopts AMOS to support Manila and Clark MRO growth

Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) has signed an agreement with Swiss-AS to implement the AMOS maintenance management system as part of its digital transformation and expansion plans.

The implementation is intended to strengthen LTP’s aircraft maintenance processes by providing a more integrated and standardised platform for maintenance operations. The company selected AMOS based on its functionality, flexibility, data integration capabilities and ability to support the organisation’s growth.

“We were looking for a system that could provide a strong foundation for further digitalisation and process improvement, rather than simply replacing our existing system,” said Reginald Baltazar, Vice President for Information Technology at LTP.

AMOS will cover key areas including maintenance operations and planning, inventory management and data integration. By bringing these functions together on a central platform, LTP expects to improve data visibility, coordination between teams and consistency across maintenance processes while reducing manual work, duplication and rework.

A key objective of the implementation is to establish a single source of maintenance information, allowing teams to access operational data more efficiently and support faster decision-making.

The system will initially support LTP’s existing Base Maintenance operations in Manila and will also provide the digital infrastructure for its planned MRO facility at Clark International Airport.

Pierluigi Calu, Vice President Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem APAC at Swiss-AS, said the implementation would help establish a scalable digital foundation for LTP’s maintenance operations as the company expands from Manila to Clark.

The adoption of AMOS also builds on the system’s existing use across the Lufthansa network. LTP expects this to support greater alignment in maintenance processes and enable common ways of working across the organisation.

For LTP, the project extends beyond replacing or upgrading its maintenance software. The company plans to use the implementation to standardise processes, digitalise maintenance tasks and enable employees to focus on higher-value activities.

“Swiss-AS will be a crucial partner for us to realise our objectives for this project. But more than a technology implementation, we see this initiative as a way to transform our business and our people,” Baltazar added.

Holger Beck, President and CEO of Lufthansa Technik Philippines, said the AMOS programme would support the company’s digital transformation and prepare it for future growth, including the opportunities associated with its Clark expansion.

The implementation comes as LTP prepares to expand its MRO footprint, with the AMOS platform expected to provide a common digital foundation for maintenance data, processes and teams across its operations.
