Tecnam names Giovanni Pascale Langer as CEO

Tecnam has named Giovanni Pascale Langer as Chief Executive Officer, with Paolo Pascale Langer moving to the role of President as the Italian aircraft manufacturer prepares for its next phase of international growth, digitalisation and industrial development.

The appointments were approved unanimously by Tecnam’s Board of Directors and took effect on 8 October 2026. The transition places the third generation of the Pascale family at the helm of the Capua-based company, which traces its roots to 1948 and has delivered more than 8,500 aircraft to customers in over 60 countries.

Giovanni Pascale Langer joined Tecnam as an apprentice assembler, gaining experience on the production line and across different company departments. A commercial pilot, he combines manufacturing experience with operational knowledge of the company’s aircraft.

He was appointed Managing Director in 2019, working alongside Paolo Pascale to oversee the company’s operations in Capua and Tecnam US while leading commercial development across international markets, including Australia, the United States, India and South America.

As CEO, Giovanni Pascale Langer will focus on four priorities: strengthening Tecnam’s international position, expanding its product and service portfolio, accelerating digitalisation and developing industrial processes. These objectives will shape the company’s approach to production and customer support as its global presence grows.

For the aviation aftermarket, the emphasis on digitalisation, industrial development and an expanded service offering is relevant to how manufacturers support aircraft throughout their operational lives. As Tecnam’s installed fleet grows, maintenance support, technical information, parts availability and service-network development will remain important to operators across its international markets.

However, the company has not announced specific new MRO programmes or service-network investments as part of the leadership transition.

Paolo Pascale Langer, who led Tecnam through decades of growth, will remain involved as President. Reflecting on the handover, he said, “In the cockpit, when handing over the controls, we say ‘You have control’. Today I say it to Giovanni, with confidence and pride.”

Giovanni Pascale Langer highlighted that his priorities include making Tecnam a global benchmark in general aviation, serving pilot-training organisations and connecting communities beyond the reach of larger airlines. He also highlighted the company’s workforce, products and established market position as foundations for its next stage of development.

The leadership change marks a generational transition for Tecnam, with international expansion, digitalisation and industrial processes set to shape its future direction.
