S&P Global Ratings has reaffirmed ORIX Aviation Systems Limited’s Servicer Ranking as “strong”, with a “stable outlook”. The assessment provides an indication of the aircraft lessor and asset-management company’s servicing platform as it supports investors and airline customers across the aviation sector.
ORIX Aviation’s activities include aircraft asset management and servicing, functions that connect the financial management of aircraft portfolios with their operational and maintenance requirements. Effective asset servicing can involve monitoring aircraft condition, maintenance status, lease obligations, and asset value throughout an aircraft’s lifecycle.
For the aviation finance and MRO sectors, these activities are closely linked. Maintenance planning and records, engine and component status, upcoming shop visits and aircraft transitions can all affect an aircraft’s residual value and financial performance. Asset managers therefore play a role in coordinating the commercial and technical aspects of aircraft ownership and leasing.

ORIX Aviation CEO, James Meyler, commented, “S&P Global’s reaffirmation of ORIX Aviation’s Strong ranking, the highest ranking available, is a testament to the quality of the platform we have built over the past three decades. The Stable Outlook reflects both the resilience of our business and the positive long-term fundamentals of the aviation industry. It also recognises the dedication of our team and the expertise we bring to delivering value for our customers and industry partners every day.”
The S&P ranking does not represent a direct assessment of ORIX Aviation’s MRO capabilities. Rather, it provides a financial-services perspective on the company’s aircraft servicing platform, where technical asset oversight and lifecycle management form part of broader aircraft investment and portfolio-management activities.
