Liebherr-Aerospace will showcase landing gear, air management systems and electromechanical actuators at NBAA-BACE 2026, highlighting technologies designed for current and next-generation business aircraft.
At the event, scheduled for 20–22 October in Las Vegas, Nevada, Liebherr-Aerospace will present systems for business jets, including a nose landing gear for the Embraer Legacy 650, air management technology used on the Dassault Falcon 6X and modular electromechanical actuators developed for smaller aircraft platforms.
The portfolio spans mechanical landing gear assemblies, cabin environmental control equipment and electrically powered actuation. Each system has distinct inspection, repair and servicing requirements, making component-level technical expertise important to long-term aircraft support.
Landing gear and air management systems
Liebherr develops, manufactures and services complete landing gear systems, including structures, extension and retraction mechanisms, steering actuation, position and warning systems, wheels, brakes, sensors and cockpit controls. The company will display the Legacy 650 nose landing gear at the exhibition.
Landing gear maintenance involves inspecting structural assemblies and associated components for wear, damage and serviceability, alongside the required repair, overhaul and certification processes. Specialist repair capabilities and technical documentation are important for maintaining component reliability throughout an aircraft’s operational life.
Liebherr will also present its integrated air management systems, which regulate cabin temperature, pressure, humidity and air distribution. The company supplies the air management system for the Falcon 6X and develops technologies covering air conditioning, bleed air, ice protection and supplemental cooling.
Its volatile organic compound and ozone converter (VOZC) technology removes ozone and unwanted airborne contaminants from cabin air. These systems contribute to cabin environmental quality and require appropriate technical support throughout their service life.
Electromechanical actuation and aftermarket support
Liebherr is extending its electromechanical actuator portfolio towards smaller aircraft, business jets and helicopters. The modular concept draws on the company’s experience with actuators and associated electronics across multiple aircraft programmes, with an emphasis on compact installation, power-to-weight ratio and reliability.
For maintenance organisations, the use of electrically driven actuation places additional importance on understanding the interaction between mechanical assemblies, electrical components and associated electronics. Maintenance requirements will depend on the system’s aircraft application and approved servicing procedures.

In North America, Liebherr Aerospace Saline in Michigan provides repair services, technical support and spare-parts distribution, supported by a liaison office in Seattle. The company also operates a service facility in Laval, Canada, offering technical, logistics and engineering support.
These regional capabilities provide business aviation customers with access to component repair, technical assistance and parts support. As business jet platforms evolve, maintenance expertise and aftermarket services remain important to managing component reliability, aircraft availability and lifecycle support.
