Jazeera Airways has expanded its engine services agreement with CFM International to cover its current and future A320neo fleet, alongside the selection of LEAP-1A engines for nine additional aircraft and the purchase of spare engines.
The expanded agreement will cover Jazeera Airways’ current and future fleet of 29 A320neo family aircraft, strengthening CFM’s role in supporting the airline’s growing narrowbody fleet.
Jazeera currently operates 11 A320neo aircraft powered by LEAP-1A engines, alongside 13 A320ceo aircraft equipped with CFM56-5B engines. The airline selected LEAP-1A engines for nine additional A320neo aircraft from its existing order book of 26 aircraft.
The agreement also includes spare engines, providing additional support for fleet availability as Jazeera expands its A320neo operation. Jazeera became the first LEAP-1A-powered A320neo operator in the Middle East in May 2018.
“We are pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with CFM International, which has been an integral part of Jazeera Airways’ growth journey over the past two decades,” said Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways. “Our decision to choose the LEAP-1A engines for another nine A320neo aircraft from our current order book of 26 aircraft reflects our continued confidence in CFM’s technology, reliability and support. As we embark on our next phase of growth, this strengthened partnership will support our fleet expansion, enhance operational efficiency and reinforce our commitment to delivering a safe, reliable and cost-efficient travel experience for our passengers.”
LEAP aftermarket support
CFM has delivered more than 10,000 LEAP engines since the type entered service, with the fleet accumulating more than 100 million flight hours. The manufacturer continues to introduce upgrades aimed at improving engine durability and time on wing.
These include a high-pressure turbine (HPT) durability kit and a reverse bleed system (RBS), alongside continued development of the LEAP aftermarket network.
“We are honored by Jazeera Airways’ continued trust in our LEAP engine and in CFM’s support,” said Gaël Méheust, President and CEO of CFM International. “It is a testament not only to the quality of our engines, but also to our commitment to delivering world-class support to maximize the utilization of its LEAP engine fleet.”

CFM said its support strategy is focused on engine availability through MRO performance and cost-efficient maintenance, with an open MRO ecosystem providing aftermarket competition.
The expanded agreement gives Jazeera access to CFM’s broader engine support infrastructure as its LEAP-powered fleet grows, while the spare-engine provision adds additional resilience to its engine maintenance and operational planning.
