HAECO has launched a specialised modular replacement service for Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines at its London Heathrow facility, expanding its near-wing engine support capabilities in collaboration with Rolls-Royce.
The new service forms part of HAECO’s “front porch of the overhaul shop” strategy, which is designed to provide flexible and rapid-response maintenance solutions closer to where aircraft operate.
Through HAECO Global Engine Support, the company is now one of only four locations worldwide authorised to perform major modular replacements on the Trent 1000. The capability covers Module 32, the Intermediate Pressure Compressor, and Module 41, the High Pressure Compressor.
The work uses a horizontal strip method, which is intended to reduce turnaround times, extend engine time on wing and help optimise available MRO capacity for Trent 1000 operators.

George Edmunds, Group Director of Components and Engine Services at HAECO, said the new capability strengthens the company’s collaboration with Rolls-Royce and supports improved availability across the Trent 1000 fleet.
Rolls-Royce Senior Vice President, Trent 1000, Rachel Walker, said the collaboration will help address MRO capacity constraints and accelerate the delivery of re-engineered components to existing customers.
In addition to the Trent 1000 modular replacement capability, HAECO Global Engine Support provides on-wing and near-wing engine services for a range of engine types. Its capabilities cover the RB211-524, RB211-535, Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000/7000, Trent XWB and LEAP-1A.
The latest service adds another capability to HAECO’s engine MRO portfolio while providing Trent 1000 operators with a localised option for major module replacement and fleet support.
