GA Telesis has expanded its aviation aftermarket operations with the opening of a new used serviceable material (USM) processing centre in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The new facility has been established to support growing demand across GA Telesis’ USM and new-parts distribution businesses. The expansion will also create additional employment opportunities in St. Lucie County and further define the roles of the company’s facilities within its global distribution network.
The Port St. Lucie centre will primarily handle USM processing. Components recovered from aircraft and engine disassembly programmes will be received, documented, evaluated and prepared for shipment to approved maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities.
After repair or overhaul, the serviceable components will be positioned at GA Telesis distribution centres worldwide, where they can support airlines, lessors and MRO customers.
Separating USM processing from distribution
GA Telesis’ primary distribution centre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with its facilities in Europe and Asia, will continue to handle customer requirements for new and serviceable aviation material.
By separating USM processing from its principal distribution activities, GA Telesis expects each facility to operate with a more specialised focus. The structure is intended to increase processing throughput, improve material flow and reduce the time required to move components through the repair and distribution cycle.
The expansion comes as GA Telesis continues to dismantle aircraft and engines to meet changing fleet requirements and demand for immediately available replacement material. Recent disassembly programmes have included next-generation aircraft such as the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX 8, expanding the company’s inventory of components supporting newer commercial fleets.

Supporting the growing USM market
The new facility forms part of GA Telesis’ broader effort to expand its aftermarket infrastructure as airlines and MRO providers increasingly use USM as an alternative source of replacement components.
Serviceable material can provide operators with access to replacement parts while reducing dependence on newly manufactured components, particularly when OEM lead times are extended. It can also help improve parts availability and support more cost-effective maintenance operations.
The Port St. Lucie investment further expands GA Telesis’ presence across Florida, creating an aviation and aerospace operating corridor stretching from St. Lucie County through Broward County to Miami-Dade County.
The company’s Florida footprint includes distribution, component processing, MRO management, corporate functions, and other aviation services.
Through its GA Telesis Ecosystem, the company plans to connect aircraft and engine disassembly, component processing, MRO management and global material distribution through the new operating structure.
The Port St. Lucie centre represents the latest investment in GA Telesis’ aftermarket infrastructure as the company works to increase its USM processing capacity and support its growing global customer base.
