Eaton Aero Services (EAS), the joint venture between Eaton and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC), has received FAA Part 145 Repair Station certification.
The approval allows EAS to perform FAA-approved maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) work and issue FAA airworthiness release certificates. The company already holds approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
The FAA certification expands the range of approved aftermarket services EAS can provide to operators and customers in the Asia-Pacific region, adding US regulatory approval to its existing regional certifications.
Eaton is also expanding its aerospace engineering activities in Singapore with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The investment covers aerospace product development, retrofit, modification and upgrade (RMU) programmes, engineering services and MRO process development.
The engineering expansion is intended to support product upgrades and repair solutions alongside EAS’s growing aftermarket activities. It also adds engineering capability to Eaton’s existing aerospace presence in Singapore.
Ian Lam, Managing Director, Aerospace Group, Asia-Pacific, Eaton, said, “Our continued investment in Singapore, supported by EDB, is strengthening our engineering and MRO capabilities, and enabling us to deliver more responsive and innovative customer solutions across the region.”

Lam added, “Together with EAS’s FAA certification, these developments position Eaton to serve customers with greater speed, flexibility and proximity while strengthening our regional aftermarket presence.”
The FAA Part 145 approval gives EAS an additional certification for supporting aircraft components and other approved MRO activities for operators requiring FAA-authorised maintenance.
