Augustus Global, LLC has completed the acquisition of Omega Air, Inc. and its affiliate Omega Aerial Refueling Services, Inc., expanding its presence in the defence aviation sector and air-to-air refueling market.
Omega will operate as a subsidiary of Augustus Global while retaining its existing brand, operations, contracts, facilities and services. The companies said the transaction will not disrupt customers, partners or suppliers, with existing contracts and support arrangements continuing under the new ownership.
Omega has provided contracted air-to-air refueling (AAR) services to the US military and allied forces since 2000. Its customers have included the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Air National Guard, and Joint Special Operations Command.
According to Augustus Global, Omega has completed 95% of its missions over more than 25 years of operations. The acquisition is intended to support the company’s efforts to expand its AAR capabilities as demand for contracted refueling services grows internationally.

Omega is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and operates an MRO facility in San Antonio, Texas. Its maintenance, engineering and logistics operations combine military and civil aviation expertise. The company also operates FAA-certified flight simulation facilities in Las Vegas and Dallas-Fort Worth for pilot currency and qualification training.
Omega’s origins date back to the 1980s, when aviation entrepreneurs Ulick and Desmond McEvaddy identified a potential requirement within the U.S. Department of Defense for commercial air-to-air refueling. Their concept was to provide AAR services to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps on a pay-by-the-hour basis.
Following the acquisition, Augustus Global and Omega’s leadership teams will work together on the transition while maintaining existing customer commitments and exploring opportunities to expand the business.
Augustus Global received transaction support from MGG Investment Group, Morgan Stanley, Prairie Capital and Sciath Group.
