Bristow names Paul Armstrong as incoming COO of Government Services

Bristow Group has named Paul Armstrong as incoming Chief Operating Officer of Government Services, with the executive expected to join the company on 22 February 2027, succeeding Alan Corbett, who plans to retire.

Armstrong will be based in the United Kingdom and brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience across aviation, aerospace, defence and government services. His background includes managing international operations, government programmes and commercial organisations across the UK, Europe and North America.

His experience spans operational leadership, strategic business development, commercial growth and engagement with government stakeholders in highly regulated environments. These areas are relevant to Bristow’s Government Services business, which supports customers requiring specialised aviation operations and reliable service delivery.

Corbett will remain with Bristow during the transition, which is expected to continue through March 2027, supporting the handover and continuity for customers, employees and other stakeholders.

Chris Bradshaw, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bristow Group, said the appointment followed an international search and reflected the strategic importance of Government Services to the company’s growth plans.

“Government Services remains a strategic growth platform for Bristow, and Paul’s operational, commercial, and government services experience will help us build on our strong foundation of operational excellence. We are grateful for Alan’s many contributions to Bristow and pleased that he will remain with the Company during the planned transition period,” Bradshaw added.

Armstrong said he looked forward to working with the team to build on Bristow’s established focus on safety, operational excellence and service.

The leadership transition comes as Bristow continues to develop its Government Services business, where operational management, safety standards and service continuity remain central to supporting government and defence customers.
