HAECO expands GE90 Engine MRO partnership with Garuda Indonesia

HAECO has signed a new engine services agreement with Garuda Indonesia covering performance restoration shop visits (PRSVs) for three GE90 engines through 2028.

The agreement, signed at MRO Asia-Pacific in Singapore, will see HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) carry out the engine maintenance work. The latest contract expands the partnership established between the two companies in 2025 and further strengthens HAECO’s direct engine MRO relationship with the Indonesian carrier.

Under the new agreement, three additional GE90 engines will undergo PRSVs at HAECO’s facilities. Since the partnership began in 2025, HAECO has completed two GE90 PRSVs and one quick-turn event for Garuda Indonesia. Two additional GE90 engines are currently undergoing PRSVs.

The latest contract reflects Garuda Indonesia’s continued use of HAECO’s GE90 maintenance capabilities as the airline focuses on fleet readiness and operational reliability.

HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) has established a significant presence in the GE90 engine services market in Asia-Pacific. The company is an authorised GE90 Service Provider and a GE90 Centre of Excellence, and holds the GE90 Brand Service Agreement (GBSA) in Asia through 2040.

HAECO further expanded its GE90 aftermarket capabilities through a 15-year Material Service Agreement with GE Aerospace signed in 2024. The agreement provides HAECO with priority access to engine material resources to support its airline customers.

Alongside its engine overhaul capabilities, HAECO provides 24/7 on-wing and near-wing engine support through its Global Engine Support network. The latest agreement with Garuda Indonesia adds further GE90 shop-visit capacity to HAECO’s Asia-Pacific engine MRO operations through 2028.
