Curtiss-Wright names Kevin Rayment as President and CEO

Curtiss-Wright Corporation has appointed Kevin M. Rayment, the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2027.

Rayment will succeed Lynn M. Bamford, who will transition to the role of Executive Chair after six years as CEO. He will also join Curtiss-Wright’s Board of Directors upon assuming his new position.

The leadership transition follows a planned succession process as the company continues to advance its growth strategy across the Aerospace & Defense, Commercial and Industrial markets.

Rayment joined Curtiss-Wright in 2004 and has held several senior leadership positions during his 35-year career across the aerospace and defense, commercial nuclear and industrial sectors. He has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2021, overseeing the company’s operational activities, strategic initiatives and growth programmes.

Previously, Rayment led Curtiss-Wright’s former Commercial/Industrial Segment, where he was responsible for strategic planning, product development, global operations, financial performance and acquisition integration.

During Bamford’s 22-year tenure at Curtiss-Wright, including six years as CEO, the company expanded its presence in aerospace, defense and commercial markets. Her leadership included the implementation of the company’s Pivot to Growth strategy, strategic acquisitions and initiatives aimed at improving financial performance and operational capabilities.

Under the leadership transition, Bamford will continue to support the company as Executive Chair.

Robert Rivet, Lead Independent Director of Curtiss-Wright, said Rayment’s experience across the business and track record in operational and commercial leadership would support the company’s continued development.

Rayment holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portsmouth University and a Master of Business Administration from Bournemouth University.
