Titomic has secured a US$5 million (AU$6.9 million) contract from the US Air Force to supply, integrate, and commission a next-generation high-pressure cold spray system at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The contract has been awarded to Titomic USA, the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary, and will expand the Australian additive manufacturing company’s presence in the US defence sustainment and MRO market.
TKF system to support aircraft component repair
The system will be built around Titomic’s TKF 1000 high-pressure cold spray platform and delivered as a turnkey capability. It will combine industrial robotic automation with powder and gas management, process monitoring, safety systems, and real-time quality verification.
At Tinker Air Force Base, the technology is expected to support a range of depot-level manufacturing and sustainment applications. These include component repair, dimensional restoration, corrosion and wear protection, additive manufacturing, hybrid manufacturing and multi-material deposition.
The programme will be supported by Titomic USA from its Huntsville, Alabama operations.

Cold spray expands defence MRO capabilities
The deployment will add high-pressure cold spray technology to the manufacturing and maintenance capabilities available at Tinker Air Force Base, which is a major US Air Force MRO and sustainment facility.
For defence MRO operations, cold spray can enable material deposition and component restoration without relying on conventional thermal processes. Titomic said the capability is intended to support asset-life extension and improve manufacturing and sustainment readiness.
The company will provide the equipment, automation, installation, training, process monitoring, and ongoing support as part of the contract.
Delivery of the system is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027. Installation will be subject to customer site coordination and required approvals. Revenue recognition will follow applicable accounting standards and the contractual performance obligations.
