Setna iO boosts global inventory with acquisition of Boeing 737-700 airframe

Aviation aftermarket leader Setna iO recently accelerated its narrowbody strategy by acquiring a Boeing 737-700 airframe formerly operated by Southwest Airlines. The company plans to disassemble the aircraft for high-demand piece parts to bolster its support for a global customer base.

Teardown operations are currently underway at the ecube facility in Coolidge, Arizona. This acquisition serves as a key pillar in Setna iO’s integrated aftermarket strategy. Once harvested, the components will move through the company’s internal Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) network—including Setnix Arizona, Setnix UK, Landing Gears Technologies (LGT), and Zulu Global. These facilities will repair and certify the parts before they enter Setna iO’s international redistribution channels.

“This asset type is filled with high-demand parts,” stated Vinnie Beltrano, Chief Operating Officer. “Setna iO is uniquely positioned to both repair these components via our in-house MRO network and utilize our global sales channel, with traders in 22 countries, to help airlines and lessors maintain efficient operations.”

By managing the entire lifecycle from teardown to global sales, Setna iO strengthens its role as a vertically integrated partner in the 737 aftermarket.
