iBase-t, a provider of digital manufacturing and sustainment software for the aerospace and defence industries, has appointed Andrew Varghese as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
The appointment comes as iBase-t increases investment in its software platform, expands its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and seeks to strengthen its position across the aerospace and defence market.
With nearly four decades of experience developing software for aerospace and defence manufacturing and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), iBase-t aims to address growing industry demand for increased production capacity, operational resilience and digital transformation.
Varghese brings more than a decade of experience as a private equity investor and operating executive in the industrial software-as-a-service (SaaS) sector. He has worked with company founders and leadership teams to strengthen financial management, develop operational infrastructure, and support business expansion.

Most recently, he served as CFO of Irth Solutions, where he helped drive more than threefold growth in annual recurring revenue while maintaining strong profitability. He also supported the company’s successful exit to a global growth equity firm.
iBase-t CEO Naveen Poonian said the company sees significant opportunities as aerospace and defence manufacturers invest in production capabilities and digital modernization. He added that Varghese’s financial leadership would support platform innovation, strengthen customer relationships and drive sustainable growth.
Varghese said iBase-t’s expertise in aerospace and defence software and its role in supporting critical customer operations were key factors in his decision to join the company. He will focus on strengthening the financial and operational foundations required to scale the business, support innovation and capitalise on market opportunities.
The appointment reflects iBase-t’s strategy to expand its software capabilities and customer base as aerospace and defence manufacturers increasingly adopt digital solutions to improve production, maintenance and sustainment operations.
