EVIO has joined the TrueNoord New Technology Hub as the aircraft developer and regional aircraft lessor collaborate on the commercial and operational requirements for next-generation, lower-emission regional aircraft.
The partnership will focus on evaluating key factors, including maintenance, financing, leasing, and infrastructure requirements, associated with introducing new aircraft technologies. The companies will also exchange technical and market insights to assess the potential operating economics of EVIO’s 810 aircraft.
TrueNoord will contribute its expertise in the regional aircraft market and benchmarking data, while EVIO will provide evolving aircraft specifications and operating-cost modelling for the EVIO 810.
Michael Derman, Chairman and CEO of EVIO, said the collaboration would help address the commercial and operational considerations involved in bringing lower-emission aircraft technologies into regional aviation.

The TrueNoord New Technology Hub brings together aircraft developers and industry stakeholders to examine the practical requirements for introducing next-generation aircraft. As development progresses, the initiative could also involve airlines, technology providers and other aviation companies.
Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO of TrueNoord, said the company’s regional aircraft leasing expertise would complement EVIO’s aircraft development capabilities, while the collaboration would provide greater insight into the opportunities and challenges hybrid-electric aircraft could present for airlines and lessors.
The partnership aims to assess how emerging aircraft technologies can improve both the environmental performance and economics of regional aviation, with a focus on making next-generation aircraft commercially viable for operators and lessors.
