CDB Aviation completes delivery of four A320neo aircraft to Marabu Airlines

CDB Aviation has completed the delivery of four Airbus A320neo aircraft to Estonia-based leisure carrier Marabu Airlines, marking the successful conclusion of a fleet expansion programme announced in late 2025.

The aircraft lessor, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (CDB Leasing), said the final delivery completes its leasing mandate for four Airbus A320-271N aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1127GA-JM engines.

The lease agreements were originally announced in November 2025 as part of Marabu’s strategy to expand its Airbus A320neo fleet and strengthen its network serving leisure destinations across the Mediterranean. Operating from bases in Hamburg, Leipzig and Nuremberg, the airline has been steadily increasing capacity to meet growing demand for holiday travel.

Jie Chen, CEO of CDB Aviation, said the completion of the deliveries marks an important milestone in the partnership between the two companies.

“We’re pleased to have reached this delivery milestone in close partnership with our colleagues at Marabu,” Chen said. “These latest-technology, fuel-efficient aircraft have made a notable impact on the airline’s efforts to enhance its operational efficiency and expand its route network. We look forward to the continued collaboration with Marabu in the future.”

With the delivery of the fourth aircraft, Marabu now operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft, supporting its long-term fleet growth strategy.

Paul Fabian, CEO and COO of Marabu Airlines, said the latest delivery represents another key milestone in the airline’s expansion plans.

“Marabu now operates a total of twelve Airbus A320neo aircraft, supporting the airline’s long-term growth strategy,” Fabian said. “These modern, fuel-efficient aircraft enable further network expansion while offering guests even more travel options to some of the most popular leisure destinations across the Mediterranean. The successful collaboration with CDB Aviation has been instrumental in achieving this fleet expansion on schedule.”

The completion of the four-aircraft delivery programme further strengthens CDB Aviation’s portfolio of airline partnerships while supporting Marabu’s continued network expansion with next-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft.
