New Caledonia-based airline Aircalin has signed a long-term Flight Hour Services (FHS) agreement with Airbus to support its upcoming A350-900 fleet.
Aircalin has two A350-900 aircraft on order, with the first aircraft scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026. The agreement was signed at MRO Asia in Singapore by Eric Boucher, Aircalin’s Vice-President, Maintenance & Engineering, and Maud Rotureau, Airbus Vice-President, Commercial Services. It marks the first A350 FHS agreement between Airbus and an airline in the Pacific region.
The power-by-the-hour contract will provide Aircalin with integrated component support, including on-site stock, access to Airbus’ component pool and component repair services. The arrangement is designed to ensure the availability of critical components as the airline introduces the A350-900 for long-haul operations.
Under the agreement, Aircalin will gain access to Airbus’ global component inventory, supply chain network, component engineering and design capabilities, as well as the Skywise data analytics platform. These services will support component availability, maintenance planning and fleet reliability.

Aircalin already has an FHS relationship with Airbus covering its A320 and A330neo fleets. The expanded agreement extends the partnership to the airline’s next-generation widebody aircraft.
The A350-900 will become Aircalin’s flagship aircraft and is expected to operate the airline’s long-haul routes to Paris.
Airbus FHS uses a power-by-the-hour model to provide component availability and maintenance support while helping operators manage operating costs. The service combines Airbus’ engineering expertise, predictive maintenance capabilities, and global logistics network to support aircraft availability and operational reliability.
