Airbus US Space & Defense will undergo a leadership transition with Alex Veneziano taking over as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The announcement marks the departure of Robert Geckle Jr, who is leaving the organisation after five years of leadership to pursue an opportunity outside Airbus.
In a statement shared by the company via LinkedIn post, Airbus US Space & Defense credited Geckle with guiding the organisation through a period of significant growth and transformation, highlighting his leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to advancing the company’s mission in the United States defence and aerospace sector.
The company also expressed confidence in Alex Veneziano’s leadership as Airbus US Space & Defense continues to expand its operations, innovation capabilities, and strategic programmes across the U.S. market.
The leadership transition comes at a time when Airbus continues strengthening its presence in the defence, space, and military aviation sectors globally, alongside ongoing investments in advanced aerospace technologies, services, and industrial partnerships.
