AerSale has leased a Boeing 757-200PCF freighter to Romanian cargo carrier Mister Air, supporting the launch of its own flight operations and creating a new maintenance and asset-management requirement around the aircraft.
The aircraft is expected to enter revenue service in October 2026, operating under Mister Air’s Romanian Air Operator Certificate (AOC) with the carrier’s own crews. Based at Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport in Poland, the 757-200PCF will support AerCommerce’s established cargo customers across Central and Eastern Europe.
For the MRO sector, the transaction illustrates the continued role of converted narrowbody and mid-sized freighter aircraft in regional cargo networks. The 757-200PCF provides a platform with sufficient payload and range for middle-mile operations while creating ongoing requirements for airframe maintenance, component support, engine servicing and freighter-specific systems.
Craig Wright, AerSale’s Senior Vice President and Head of Asset Management, said the transaction demonstrates the company’s ability to place flight-ready aircraft with operators expanding their fleets.
“We are proud to support Mister Air as it launches its own freighter operations with this Boeing 757-200PCF. The 757 remains one of the most capable and sought-after platforms in its segment, and this transaction reflects both the strength of that asset class and AerSale’s ability to deliver flight-ready aircraft to operators pursuing ambitious growth. We look forward to supporting Mister Air’s fleet as it expands,” said Craig Wright, AerSale’s Senior Vice President & Head of Asset Management.
757 freighter creates new maintenance requirements
The 757-200PCF is intended for Mister Air’s middle-mile network, connecting major production and e-commerce gateways with airports across Central and Eastern Europe. The aircraft will also support parcel programmes and special cargo missions.
As the aircraft enters regular revenue service, its operation will require scheduled inspections, component maintenance, engine support and continued airworthiness management. The freighter configuration also brings additional considerations associated with cargo operations, including the maintenance of the aircraft’s cargo-handling and structural systems.
The aircraft forms the starting point for Mister Air’s planned dedicated freighter fleet. As additional aircraft are introduced, commonality across the fleet could provide opportunities to standardise maintenance procedures, technician training, tooling, spare-parts inventories and technical records.
Ireneusz Dylczyk, Chief Executive Officer of Mister Air, said the aircraft provides the foundation for the carrier’s planned expansion.
“This Boeing 757-200PCF marks an important milestone in Mister Air’s growth and the launch of our own flight operations. The 757’s range and payload make it the ideal aircraft for our customers. AerSale proved to be a professional and responsive partner throughout the process. This aircraft lays the foundation for the additional freighters we intend to introduce as we scale our network,” said Ireneusz Dylczyk, Chief Executive Officer of Mister Air.
AerSale’s involvement also extends beyond the aircraft transaction through its asset-management activities. Supporting an aircraft throughout its operating life requires monitoring maintenance status, records, configuration and major lifecycle events, particularly as the aircraft moves between operators or undergoes future modifications.
The lease therefore gives Mister Air an aircraft around which it can establish its initial technical and operational support structure, while AerSale continues to manage the asset through its lifecycle.
As Mister Air expands its freighter fleet, the 757-200PCF will also provide an initial platform for developing the maintenance, parts, and technical-support infrastructure needed to sustain a dedicated cargo operation in the European market.
