Aera Aviation Capital has arranged the acquisition of two commercial aircraft portfolios comprising eight narrowbody aircraft in its first aviation investment transaction.
The portfolios, valued at more than $300 million, primarily include new-generation Airbus A320neo-family and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft currently leased to a diversified group of mainline and low-cost carriers.
The acquisitions were completed through a combination of equity from a fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management and debt financing provided by MUFG Bank.

Aera originated and arranged both transactions and will manage the eight-aircraft portfolio following completion. The deals also mark Aera’s first collaboration with Macquarie Asset Management.
The transaction establishes Aera’s aircraft investment and asset management platform and provides a foundation for the company to expand its presence in the commercial aviation leasing market.
