Aircastle has closed a new $400 million unsecured term loan to support aircraft acquisitions as the lessor expands its commercial aircraft portfolio.
The five-year financing comprises a $240 million loan from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and a further $160 million from a banking syndicate.
MUFG Bank and Mizuho Bank served as syndicate arrangers for the $160 million tranche, with seven additional lenders participating in the facility.

Aircastle said the financing strengthens its access to bank funding and provides additional capital to support commercial aircraft acquisitions.
The lessor added that its ownership by Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho Leasing provides access to diversified funding sources, supporting its aircraft investment and portfolio expansion strategy.
The new facility comes as aircraft lessors continue to secure additional capital to support fleet acquisitions amid sustained demand for commercial aircraft and aviation assets.
