UTAC appoints Anis Tebib as COO to drive international expansion

UTAC has appointed Anis Tebib as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective October 1, 2026, as the testing, validation and certification specialist strengthens its international growth strategy.

Tebib will continue to serve on UTAC’s Executive Committee while taking on broader responsibilities covering the Group’s commercial and international development activities. He will retain oversight of Strategy, Business Development and Communication, while also assuming direct responsibility for UTAC’s operations in Japan and South Korea.

A longstanding member of UTAC’s Executive Committee, Tebib has played a key role in shaping the Group’s strategic roadmap and business development initiatives.

In his new role, he will lead the company’s activities in Japan and South Korea, which UTAC identifies as key markets within its international expansion strategy. He will also oversee the development and governance of newly established UTAC entities in emerging markets, with a focus on maintaining strategic alignment across the Group’s global operations.

The expanded commercial remit is intended to support UTAC as it continues to build its international footprint and broaden its customer base across strategic industries.

UTAC’s expansion is also extending beyond its traditional mobility-related activities, with the Group highlighting aerospace and defence as strategic sectors for future growth.

Both sectors require increasingly advanced testing and validation capabilities, alongside stringent regulatory compliance and specialised technical expertise. For testing and certification providers, this is creating opportunities to apply established engineering and validation capabilities across a broader range of high-value applications.

For the aerospace and defence sectors, testing and certification can span component and system validation, performance assessment, regulatory compliance and other specialised engineering requirements.

UTAC’s latest leadership appointment therefore comes as the Group seeks to strengthen its position as an international partner for testing, validation and certification while developing capabilities across new markets and industries.

Tebib’s expanded responsibilities bring together UTAC’s strategy, commercial development and selected international operations under a broader mandate.

The appointment is expected to support the Group’s efforts to coordinate its international expansion, establish new entities in emerging markets and develop opportunities across sectors where advanced testing and certification capabilities are increasingly important.
