GCAM has received approval from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to carry out maintenance and issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for Indian-registered Airbus A320 family aircraft.
The approval, IND.FAMO.0000000128, covers A320 family aircraft powered by four major engine variants: CFM56, IAE V2500, CFM LEAP-1A and Pratt & Whitney PW1100G. The approval expands GCAM’s regulatory coverage and enables the UK-based MRO organisation to provide maintenance support to a broader range of Indian-registered aircraft.
The DGCA approval is particularly relevant for operators, lessors and aircraft owners managing mixed A320-family fleets, as it allows GCAM to support aircraft without restrictions based on the installed engine type.
The expanded capability can support a range of lifecycle requirements, including aircraft transitions, end-of-lease projects, storage programmes and return-to-service activities. It also gives customers greater flexibility when planning maintenance for Indian-registered A320-family aircraft.

GCAM said the approval adds to its portfolio of international regulatory authorisations and expands the maintenance services it can offer to airlines, lessors and aircraft owners operating Indian-registered aircraft.
The approval also strengthens GCAM’s ability to support the growing Indian aviation market, particularly as demand increases for maintenance, transition and asset-management services across the A320-family fleet.
