Hanwha Aerospace has named Billy Boo-hwan Lee as President and CEO following his appointment as an inside director at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.
Lee brings more than 20 years of experience across defence research and development, international business and aerospace operations within Hanwha.
He previously served as Head of the Hanwha Defense R&D Campus and Head of Overseas Business at Hanwha Aerospace. He also served as President and CEO of Hanwha Aerospace Europe (HAEU) in Poland and Head of the Precision Guided Munitions (PGM) Business Group.
His previous roles have covered defence engineering and R&D, international aerospace business, European operations and advanced defence technology programmes.

As President and CEO, Lee will lead Hanwha Aerospace across its aerospace and defence activities, including its international operations and industrial partnerships.
His background in defence R&D and aerospace programme management brings experience spanning engineering, technology development and international business to the company’s senior leadership.
