FL Technics Indonesia becomes first GE Aerospace avionics MRO partner in Indonesia

FL Technics Indonesia has signed a service support agreement with GE Aerospace for avionics systems, becoming the first MRO partner in Indonesia to provide GE Aerospace avionics support for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.

The agreement was signed at MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 in Singapore and will support avionics maintenance activities at FL Technics Indonesia’s facilities at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.

The partnership brings GE Aerospace’s avionics technical support into FL Technics Indonesia’s MRO operations, giving airline customers access to specialised avionics maintenance capabilities within the company’s existing maintenance network.

“Avionics is the backbone of aircraft systems, an area we’re always working to keep at the highest standard, with the best resources and expertise behind it,” said Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia. “This partnership with GE Aerospace lets us bring an added layer of expertise directly into our operations. It’s part of how we keep improving our service with high safety standards and reliable maintenance solutions as our airline customers’ operational needs evolve.”

GE Aerospace support expands avionics MRO capability

The agreement expands FL Technics Indonesia’s technical support offering for operators of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. Avionics maintenance is increasingly important as aircraft rely on integrated navigation, communication, flight management, and electronic systems throughout their operational lifecycle.

For FL Technics Indonesia, access to GE Aerospace technical expertise adds OEM-backed support to its existing base and line maintenance activities. The agreement also allows the MRO provider to support avionics requirements closer to the aircraft and airline operations it serves in Indonesia.

Matt Burns, General Manager of Avionics at GE Aerospace, said, “We are proud to work with FL Technics Indonesia as it expands its capabilities in a dynamic and growing aviation market. This agreement reflects GE Aerospace’s commitment to supporting customers in Indonesia and across the region with avionics expertise that supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.”

Jakarta and Bali facilities support regional operators

FL Technics Indonesia operates a 27,520-square-metre hangar and office complex at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and a 17,000-square-metre facility at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.

The company employs more than 700 aviation professionals and provides base and line maintenance services under an FAA Part-145 approval, alongside approvals from more than 20 civil aviation authorities.

The new GE Aerospace agreement adds avionics support to the capabilities available through these facilities and strengthens FL Technics Indonesia’s position as an integrated aircraft maintenance provider in the Indonesian and wider Asia-Pacific markets.

As airlines continue to operate large fleets of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 family aircraft across the region, the availability of local avionics maintenance and technical support can help reduce the need to move aircraft or components outside the region for specialised support.
