Wilson Construction upgrades the helicopter fleet from 500E to FAA-certified 530-F model

For last two decades, Wilson Construction has been a leader in delivering safe and efficient helicopter operations in the electric utility construction industry
Upon completion of this conversion, the Wilson Construction rotorcraft fleet will include three MD 500E and three MD 530F helicopters.

5 August 2020: Wilson Construction recently got the delivery of the state-of-art upgraded MD 530F model helicopter. MD Helicopters (MDHI) overhauled and converted the MD 500E helicopter to an FAA-certified MD 530F model. The conversion was carried out at MD Helicopters’ Mesa-Arizona manufacturing and completions centre. Upon completion of this conversion, the Wilson Construction rotorcraft fleet will include three MD 500E and three MD 530F helicopters. This E to F conversion included an engine upgrade from the Rolls Royce 250-C20B to the more powerful RR250-C30, replacement of the main rotor and tail rotor blades, upgraded F model main rotor gearbox and an On-board Systems Dual Cargo Hook. Apart from this, there was an addition of overall interior and exterior refresh with a new 3-color paint scheme, updated interior paint, new seating and updated flight controls.
