Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, has completed its first 1C inspection on a Dassault Falcon 8X, marking a significant expansion of its heavy maintenance experience across the Falcon family.
The Falcon 8X 1C inspection is the most comprehensive scheduled maintenance event for the aircraft and is required every 96 months or 4,000 flight cycles, whichever comes first. The work involves removing exterior panels and significant interior components to conduct detailed inspections and maintenance.
The project included the complete 1C inspection, compliance with applicable service bulletins, a Honeywell EASy IV cockpit upgrade, and the installation of dual Garmin GI 275 avionics.
Western Aircraft became a Dassault Falcon Jet Heavy Jet Service Center in 2001 and has since completed more than 140 C-checks across Falcon models, including the Falcon 50, 900, 2000 and 7X. The latest project represents the company’s first 1C inspection on a Falcon 8X.

“Completing our first Falcon 8X 1C inspection is a significant achievement for our team,” said Brody McKenna, Director of MRO Operations at Western Aircraft. He added that the milestone reflects the planning and technical expertise required for major maintenance projects and builds on the company’s 25-year relationship with Dassault Falcon.
From its Boise facility, Western Aircraft supports the full range of in-service Falcon models, including the Falcon 50, 900, 2000, 7X and 8X.
Its capabilities include heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications, aircraft-on-ground response, avionics retrofits and interior refurbishment, providing comprehensive support for Falcon operators.
