On April 2, 2022, at the Independence Palace, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Aviation Exhibition JSC cooperated with GK Wintron Co., Ltd. to hold a Press Conference, officially announcing the Vietnam International Aviation Expo will be started on September 15-17, 2022 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
The efforts of airlines, the Government, the Ministry of Transportation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, and other regulatory agencies in restoring and increasing the frequency of flights from the end of 2021 and the policy of opening tourism welcoming international passengers from March 15, 2022, with the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control regulations being lifted is the driving force that shows that Vietnam’s aviation industry is accelerating on the world’s economic recovery.
Speaking at the press conference to introduce Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Ho Chi Minh City branch shared the Prediction of Vietnam aviation industry in the period of post Covid-19: “Continuing the momentum recovering in 2021, the global aviation industry enters the new year 2022 with optimism about development prospects, forecast to grow 47% when restrictive measures related to the Omicron variant of the SARS virus -CoV-2 is gradually relaxed or eliminated. However, analysts also said that the global aviation industry this year still needs to make strategic adjustments to adapt to the unpredictable developments of the epidemic”.
Strengthening policies to promote the development of the aviation industry is a top priority today when the global aviation industry contributes 4.1% of GDP, affecting other economic chains. As Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thang – Head of Science – Technology and Environment Department of Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam shared the CAAV’s growth orientation in the press conference: “Focus on organizing conferences, seminars to introduce and demonstrate public products. new technology to act as a bridge between scientists, researchers, designers, and manufacturers, enterprises, and users to develop domestic aeronautical technology products, thereby attracting enterprises to manufacture cargo components in Vietnam, contributing to improving the ability to ensure safety in aviation activities”.
That is the policy of the state government, as well as the purpose and mission of the Vietnam International Aviation Expo. Sharing at the press conference, Ms. Luong Thi Xuan – Founder & CEO of Vietnam Aviation Expo JSC and Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee said“Aeronautics is not only a leader in the economic sector but also an important field in the chain linking industries. Therefore, the development of the industry will promote cooperation, business, and investment in other related fields. As a training and professional place for majors namely Pilot; Aviation Security; Air traffic controller, flight navigator; Electronics – telecommunications aviation; Airlift auxiliary equipment; Air transport operation; Exploiting aviation information; Flight attendant; Airport management and operation; Commercial air freight; Aircraft technician”.
With the guidelines and support of the state government, the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Vietnam Aerospace Association, and other regulatory agencies, and the patronage of Boeing which has identified Vietnam as an important market for its further expansion and committed to increase its footprint in Vietnam’s aviation market, which will be the foundation for the Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022 organized by Vietnam Aviation Exhibition JSC and GK Wintron on September 15-17, 2022 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
