Vietjet Qazaqstan has successfully implemented the AMOS Airline Edition maintenance management system, marking a major milestone in the airline’s digital transformation and strengthening its maintenance, engineering and logistics capabilities.
The airline went live with the platform in April 2026 and, following a stable post-implementation phase, is now fully utilising the system to streamline its maintenance operations and improve operational efficiency.
Vietjet Qazaqstan currently operates a fleet of five De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft, serving 16 destinations across Kazakhstan and neighbouring regions. The introduction of AMOS Airline Edition represents a significant step in modernising the carrier’s maintenance processes by integrating maintenance planning, engineering, logistics, inventory management, technical records and regulatory compliance into a single platform.
The fully integrated maintenance software is designed specifically for airline operations, providing greater visibility into aircraft maintenance status, improving resource planning and supporting faster, more informed decision-making across operational departments. By consolidating key maintenance functions, the system is expected to enhance data accuracy, strengthen regulatory compliance, optimise aircraft availability and reduce administrative workloads.
The implementation comes as Vietjet Qazaqstan continues its transformation following its acquisition by Vietnam-based Sovico Group, the co-founder and owner of Vietjet Air. As part of the transition, the airline has rebranded as Vietjet Qazaqstan, aligning its operational standards and business strategy more closely with the wider Vietjet ecosystem.
The project also builds on the long-standing partnership between Vietjet Air and Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS), the developer of the AMOS platform. Vietjet has relied on AMOS since launching operations in 2012 with a fleet of just six aircraft. Since then, the airline has expanded to operate more than 100 aircraft, with the maintenance management system supporting its operational growth over the past decade.
Alongside the implementation of AMOS Airline Edition, Vietjet Qazaqstan has adopted AMOS Hosting Services, providing a fully managed hosting environment for its maintenance platform. The hosted solution delivers enhanced system availability, improved cybersecurity, regular data backups and continuous performance monitoring while reducing the airline’s internal IT infrastructure requirements.
The managed service also simplifies software maintenance and upgrades, allowing engineering and maintenance teams to focus on core operational activities. In addition, the scalable platform is expected to support the airline’s future expansion plans, including the potential introduction of Boeing 737 aircraft into its fleet.
With the successful deployment of AMOS Airline Edition and Hosting Services, Vietjet Qazaqstan has established a modern, scalable maintenance management platform that will support its continued operational development, fleet expansion and long-term growth strategy.
