This Viasat Inc and Malaysia Airlines partnership introduces high-quality internet connectivity on the Boeing 737-8 jet, part of Malaysia Airlines’ connectivity strategy with factory installation.

Viasat Inc., a global communications company, has been selected by Malaysia Airlines, the national carrier of Malaysia, to provide its cutting-edge wireless In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system for the airline’s new Boeing 737-8 fleet. This partnership also entails the introduction of high-quality internet connectivity on the 737-8 aircraft as part of Malaysia Airlines’ connectivity strategy. The agreement includes the factory installation of Viasat’s equipment on the aircraft, with the first delivery expected in later August 2023.

Through this collaboration, passengers of Malaysia Airlines will benefit from an enhanced and personalized in-flight experience offered by the airline’s wireless IFE system, MHstudio. The system grants access to over 500 on-demand entertainment options and personalized shopping experiences, enriching the travel journey for passengers. The partnership between Malaysia Airlines and Viasat underscores both companies’ commitment to elevating passenger experiences and providing innovative solutions in the aviation industry.
