The new UUDS hangar at MBRAH will provide Aircraft Management and On-Wing Cabin services also featuring an Aircraft Cabin Completion and Modification Centre, a VIP Aircraft Parking, and AOG support, as well as providing helicopter services.

South Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) is rapidly advancing towards its goal of establishing a well-rounded aerospace and MRO ecosystem, the MBRAH team is signing array of contracts at the Dubai Air Show with different airlines and MROs, all keen at establishing or expanding their facility at MBRAH. Just when flydubai announced a $190 million facility at MBRAH, another company, UUDS is all set to open its new and third facility in Dubai South.

The placement of the new UUDS hangar will be at one of the Code F plots at MBRAH and will provide Aircraft Management and On-Wing Cabin services. The facility will also feature an Aircraft Cabin Completion and Modification Centre, a VIP Aircraft Parking, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support, as well as providing helicopter services.

Delighted at extending the partnership with UUDS, Tahnoon Saif, chief executive, MBRAH clarified that this agreement was the testament to the recovery and huge demand in the aviation sector. “We will continue to play a role and align with the government’s long-term vision of positioning Dubai as the aviation capital of the world,” Saif added.

Interestingly, this facility will make emirate the only city in the world with three facilities for UUDS. Speaking at the signing ceremony held during the Dubai Air Show, Gilles Negre, CEO and Group Owner of UUDS explained the strategic importance of Dubai South as a potential market aligned with the group’s expansion strategy. 

UUDS also has an existing facility at the Aerospace Supply Chain cluster dedicated to cabin equipment manufacturing and assembly lines. Additionally, the company recently acquired an entire floor at the Suppliers Complex, to provide cabin equipment refurbishment and modification services.

UUDS cabin completion and modification service centre come with EASA and GCAA approvals and provides services like design, certification, manufacturing, maintenance, and implementation of aircraft services, innovation and technology solutions, and eco-friendly solutions with the assessment of environmental impacts.
