Universal Avionics has been selected to provide integrated flight decks for De Havilland Canada’s firefighting jet after the latterchose Universal’s retrofit and forward-fit solutions for the CL-215T, CL-415, and DHC-515.
Elbit Systems subsidiary Universal Avionics (UA) has been selected as the primary provider of integrated flight decks for De Havilland Canada’s firefighting aircraft. De Havilland Canada chose Universal’s retrofit and forward-fit solutions for the CL-215T, CL-415, and DHC-515 after conducting a thorough search and consulting with its base of operators in order to support aerial firefighting operations with NextGen flight display, flight management, data communication, and connectivity systems.
Jean-Philippe Côté, Vice President of Programs and Business Improvement at De Havilland Canada said, “We are truly excited to be working with Universal Avionics on this key program for De Havilland Canada. In recent years, the usage of Universal Flight Management Systems (FMS) in aerial firefighting operations has increased, and various operators have entered into this agreement with De Havilland Canada.
