Universal Avionics to supply flight deck for De Havilland Canada Firefighting aircraft.
The most recent in the family of Canadian amphibious aircraft, the DHC-515 Firefighter builds on the legacy and toughness of the CL-215 and CL-415.

Universal Avionics has been selected to provide integrated flight decks for De Havilland Canada’s firefighting jet after the latterchose Universal’s retrofit and forward-fit solutions for the CL-215T, CL-415, and DHC-515.  

Elbit Systems subsidiary Universal Avionics (UA) has been selected as the primary provider of integrated flight decks for De Havilland Canada’s firefighting aircraft. De Havilland Canada chose Universal’s retrofit and forward-fit solutions for the CL-215T, CL-415, and DHC-515 after conducting a thorough search and consulting with its base of operators in order to support aerial firefighting operations with NextGen flight display, flight management, data communication, and connectivity systems.

In recent years, the usage of Universal Flight Management Systems (FMS) in aerial firefighting operations has increased, and various operators have entered into this agreement with De Havilland Canada.
