Universal Avionics has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) for its InSight integrated flight display system on the Cessna Citation VII.
The approval allows the system to be installed on Citation VII aircraft in Brazil and adds to existing FAA, TCCA, and EASA approvals.
The InSight system replaces legacy CRT displays with digital flight displays, engine indication, and Universal Avionics’ flight management system (FMS). The retrofit also supports CPDLC, LPV and RNP approaches, and wireless tablet integration.
For MRO providers, the STC provides an approved option for Citation VII flight deck upgrades, particularly as older CRT displays become more difficult and costly to maintain.

The system can also reduce aircraft weight by up to 200 pounds, according to Universal Avionics.
“Expanding InSight’s regional approvals gives operators a straightforward, high-value way to modernize. InSight provides a proven digital flight deck solution that helps to resolve display obsolescence, enhances operational flexibility, and keeps valuable aircraft flying in modern airspace”, highlighted Dror Yahav, CEO of Universal Avionics.
