UAE announced two-year contract with Boeing for C-17 training programs

Build on previous successes between both the parties, Boeing has received a two-year, $18.7 million deal from UAE for the supply of C-17 Globemaster III logistics support and training simulator maintenance.

Boeing originally designed and delivered the simulators and has supported C-17 training for the UAE earlier. Boeing, which originally manufactured the C-17, will support the UAE’s inventory of practical, motion-based training devices for training aircrews and support personnel for the country’s fleet of airlifters.

“With this new UAE contract, Boeing will continue training the Emirati C-17 students through each phase of their careers,” said Larry Sisco, C-17 training program manager.

Boeing provides C-17 training to India, UK and NATO’s Strategic Airlift Capability. Boeing is exceptional in its capability to adapt its training devices and course materials to each customer’s specific C-17 fleet.

“We help our customers do amazing things by delivering critical training and learning tools — affordably and on time,” Sisco added. “By maintaining our focus on innovation and service, we play a key role in helping the UAE maintain a high mission-readiness rate for its C-17 fleet.”
