TrueNoord appoints Paul Murphy as new Chief Financial Officer.
Before joining TrueNoord, Paul Murphy served as Head of Finance at Goshawk Aviation until its acquisition by SMBC Aviation Capital in December 2022.

Paul Murphy, in his new role, will be responsible for fiscal reporting and analysis, tax, treasury operations, and corporate finance at TrueNoord.

TrueNoord, a specialist regional aircraft lessor, has appointed Paul Murphy as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Murphy, who brings extensive industry experience from his previous roles at SMBC Aviation Capital, Goshawk Aviation, and ORIX Aviation, will be responsible for fiscal reporting and analysis, tax, treasury operations, and corporate finance at TrueNoord.

Paul Murphy was drawn to the role by TrueNoord’s strong reputation and talented team, as well as their positive investor relations. He believes that despite macro headwinds, TrueNoord is well-positioned to support the regional aviation sector’s recovery post-pandemic. The company’s balanced growth strategy, supported by experienced sector specialists and shareholders, is a key factor in its success.

Before joining TrueNoord, Murphy served as Head of Finance at Goshawk Aviation until its acquisition by SMBC Aviation Capital in December 2022. As part of the management team at Goshawk, he played a pivotal role in transforming the Finance and Managed Asset functions to support business growth. Prior to that, he held senior finance positions at ORIX Aviation, where he was Vice President – Finance and later Director of Group Accounting & Treasury.

Murphy’s professional journey began with KPMG, where he trained and later became an Audit Manager in the Financial Services Division, specializing in clients in the aviation sector. He holds a Commerce Degree, a Masters in Accounting, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
