Trelleborg has officially opened a new aerospace production facility in Casablanca, Morocco, marking the company’s first manufacturing site in the country dedicated to the production of polymer seals for the aviation industry.
Located within the Midparc Industrial Freezone near Mohammed V International Airport, the 5,000-square-meter (53,820-square-foot) facility strengthens Trelleborg’s global aerospace manufacturing footprint while positioning the company within one of the world’s fastest-growing aerospace clusters.
The new site will manufacture high-performance polymer sealing solutions used in critical aircraft applications, where they play an essential role in ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency under demanding conditions. As global aircraft production continues to rise, the facility will enhance Trelleborg’s ability to meet increasing customer demand through localized manufacturing and expanded production capacity.
In addition to manufacturing operations, the Casablanca facility features an advanced materials laboratory designed to support research and development initiatives, enabling continued innovation in aerospace sealing technologies.
To help develop a skilled workforce, Trelleborg has partnered with Morocco’s Aerospace Training Center (IMA). The collaboration aims to equip local talent with aerospace-specific skills and ensure employees meet industry standards from the outset.
Production at the facility is already underway, with the company expecting the site to reach full operational capacity within the next two years. The investment underscores Trelleborg’s commitment to supporting the aerospace sector’s long-term growth while strengthening its presence in key global aviation markets.
