Textron Aviation secures CASA Part 145 approval for maintenance operations

Textron Aviation has secured CASA Part 145 approval for its maintenance organisation in Australia, covering its company-owned Service Centers in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast.

The approval establishes one of the most extensive OEM-owned aircraft support networks in Australia and enables Textron Aviation to provide maintenance services under a CASA-approved framework across its three locations.

CASA Part 145 approval confirms that Textron Aviation’s maintenance organisation meets Australia’s regulatory requirements for systems, personnel, processes and oversight needed to perform and certify aircraft maintenance.

For customers, the approval provides greater access to locally delivered maintenance backed by Textron Aviation’s global technical expertise and service infrastructure. The three Service Centers can support maintenance, modifications, overhaul work and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) requirements.

The expanded capability is particularly significant given the size of Textron Aviation’s installed fleet in Australia. More than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft currently operate across the country.

By providing CASA-approved maintenance closer to where aircraft are based and operated, Textron Aviation aims to improve access to technical support, help reduce aircraft downtime and keep customers’ fleets operational.

The approval also reinforces Textron Aviation’s broader strategy of expanding factory-direct support capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region, giving operators access to OEM-backed maintenance and technical services through strategically positioned facilities.
