Texel Air Australasia has appointed Peter Sheehan as its new Managing Director – Australasia, effective 22 July 2026, as the company strengthens its leadership team to support expansion across New Zealand, Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The newly created position reflects the company’s strategic focus on accelerating commercial growth and enhancing operational capability as it expands its regional presence.
Sheehan brings extensive experience in aviation, airport operations and logistics, having previously led cargo strategy at Sydney Airport, played a key role in developing the cargo precinct at Western Sydney International Airport, and served as an airline chief executive.

Commenting on the appointment, Texel Air Chairman John Chisholm said Sheehan’s broad industry expertise would support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.
“Peter brings an exceptional combination of aviation, logistics and executive leadership experience to Texel Air. His leadership will help drive sustainable growth and position Texel Air for long-term success,” Chisholm said.
Based in Brisbane, Sheehan will travel extensively across Australasia to work closely with customers, employees and industry partners as Texel Air continues to expand its operations throughout the region.
