Strengthening Partnerships – AEI and Aero Capital Solutions

AEI is currently the only company having ETOPS 180 approval on the 737-800 freighter conversions.
With the latest order, Aero Capital will have a total of 40 B737-800F from AEI.

With 40 B737-800 converted freighters from AEI, Aero Capital becomes its biggest customer.

Aero Capital Solutions have placed another order of six B737-800 converted freighters with Aeronautical Engineers or AEI, with this order Aero Capital will have a total of 40 B737-800F from AEI, thus making them AEI’s biggest customer. All six aircraft will be inducted and completed by 2024. The modification touch labor and maintenance requirements for the six conversions are to be split between the authorized AEI Conversion Centres of STAECO and HAECO. A couple of years back Aero Capital placed its first order for B737-800F with AEI and never looked back. Their partnership has only strengthened in the last couple of years. 

Aeronautical Engineers or AEI, currently the only company having ETOPS 180 approval on the 737-800 freighter conversions can convert all 737–800-line number aircraft, including those with Split Scimitar winglets. The converter freighters include a flexible Ancra Cargo Loading System, a rigid 9g barrier, five supernumerary seats as standard, a galley, and a full lavatory.

Some of the salient features of AEI converted B737-800 freighters –

1.      main deck payload of up to 52,700 lbs. (23,904 kg)

2.      incorporates eleven full-height 88” x 125” container positions

3.      provides an additional position for anAEP/AEH

4.      Incorporates new floor beams aft of the wing box

5.      A large 86” x 137” Main Cargo Door with a single vent door system

Apart from the above AEI’s design allows for containers to be loaded into the aircraft a full 16.5” aft of the forward door jamb, ensuring ground operators have sufficient maneuvering room which minimizes potential door and aircraft strikes making them of the most ideal choices of B737-800 freighter convertors for Aero Capital.
