Aircraft investment specialist Stratos has announced the acquisition of three leased aircraft, adding Asiana Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Virgin Australia as new airline clients and further expanding its serviced fleet.
The newly acquired assets comprise an Airbus A321 with manufacturer serial number (MSN) 5173 leased to Asiana, a Boeing 737-800 with MSN 38875 leased to Southwest Airlines, and a Boeing 737-700 with MSN 38128 leased to Virgin Australia.
The transactions strengthen Stratos’ presence across key global aviation markets and introduce three new airline relationships to the company’s portfolio.

Fraser Chestney, executive VP, Finance & Investment at Stratos, said the acquisitions represent an important milestone for the business.
“These transactions are another great step for Stratos, not only bringing new airlines into the Stratos family, but also welcoming new investor clients, where we continue to provide world-class underwriting and deliver attractive above-market returns,” Chestney said.
Stratos noted that the acquisitions also support its strategy of providing investors with carefully underwritten aircraft assets while broadening its relationships with airlines and investment partners worldwide.
