Storm Aviation has been appointed as the central coordination hub for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery services across the group, strengthening its rapid-response capabilities for airlines, lessors and aircraft operators worldwide.
The expanded role builds on Storm Aviation’s established GO Team, which will now serve as a single point of contact for managing AOG recoveries across the entire FL Technics Group network. The initiative is designed to simplify technical recovery by coordinating engineers, tooling, spare parts and maintenance approvals through one centralised operation.
Backed by FL Technics Group’s global infrastructure, the GO Team can now draw on more than 100-line maintenance stations and seven base maintenance hangars located in Lithuania, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Indonesia and the Dominican Republic. Additional spare parts inventory in Dubai, Singapore and Vilnius further enhances the group’s ability to support operators across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and other regions.

The expanded network enables recovery teams to be deployed closer to grounded aircraft, reducing response times while maintaining centralised coordination throughout the recovery process.
Storm Aviation brings three decades of experience in time-critical aircraft recovery operations to its new role. By combining its rapid-response expertise with FL Technics Group’s broader technical resources, the company aims to provide operators with faster mobilisation, wider geographical coverage and streamlined recovery management.
“Storm Aviation’s GO Team acts as the lead coordinator for AOG recovery across the group,” said Saulius Bajarunas, COO of FL Technics Group. “Our role is to put the best capability of the group—our engineers, tooling, approvals and global footprint—behind every recovery the GO Team coordinates. For airlines, ACMI providers, lessors and other aircraft operators, that means broader geographical coverage, faster access to technical resources and simpler coordination when time is critical.”
Under the new operating model, a single request to Storm Aviation’s GO Team triggers the complete recovery process. The team assesses the situation, mobilises engineers and equipment, coordinates tooling and spare parts logistics, and manages the recovery until the aircraft returns to service. This eliminates the need for operators to coordinate with multiple service providers across different regions.
“Coordinating AOG recovery for the entire FL Technics Group is the next step in our story,” said Thomas Buckley, CEO of Storm Aviation. “Operators no longer have to chase multiple contacts across time zones. They have a single point of contact through our GO Team, and behind that team stands the entire capability of the FL Technics Group. Wherever your airline needs technical recovery assistance, we can mobilise faster and with greater certainty.”
