Hawker 700, 800, and 900 series operators can now install Starlink high-speed connectivity following the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of an AeroMech Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation.
The STC covers the Starlink Aviation Performance Kit, allowing the connectivity system to be installed on the Hawker aircraft through Textron Aviation Customer Support.
The upgrade is available at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and selected international service centres. Operators can schedule the installation through Textron Aviation’s customer support network.
The approval provides an established modification pathway for integrating the Starlink system into Hawker aircraft. The STC defines the approved configuration and installation requirements for the upgrade, allowing service centres to modify within an approved maintenance framework.
The Starlink Aviation Performance Kit uses a low-Earth-orbit satellite network to provide connectivity during flight, including over areas where conventional ground-based connectivity may have limited coverage.
The system supports applications such as video calls, streaming, and other online services, with advertised download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, upload speeds of up to 100 Mbps, and latency as low as 20 milliseconds.

Brad White, Senior Vice President, Customer Support at Textron Aviation, said, “Hawker operators continue to look to Textron Aviation for long-term care and upgrade solutions that ensure their aircraft remain mission-ready in today’s operating environment. By listening closely to our customers to expand Starlink availability, we are reinforcing our commitment to supporting the Hawker fleet.”
The Starlink installation adds to the range of upgrades available to operators of the Hawker 700, 800 and 900 series, extending the capabilities of the aircraft through an STC-approved modification rather than requiring replacement of the aircraft.
