StandardAero renews DGAC Chile approval, expanding South American MRO support

StandardAero has renewed its Foreign Repair Station recognition from Chile’s Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), retaining its CMAE No. E-133 certification through July 2028.

The renewed certification enables StandardAero to continue providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Chilean-registered aircraft and components, strengthening its support for operators across South America.

The company has held recognition from DGAC Chile since 2006. The latest renewal further extends its ability to provide cross-border maintenance services under the Chilean aviation authority’s requirements.

StandardAero’s approved capabilities cover a broad range of airframe, dynamic component, avionics and structural maintenance services, along with non-destructive testing.

For helicopter airframes, the certification covers line- and depot-level maintenance for several Airbus and Bell helicopter families, including the Airbus AS350/EC130, AS355, AS332, AS365, EC120 and EC135 series, as well as Bell 205, 206, 212/214 and 407 series.

The approval also covers dynamic component MRO for Airbus helicopters, including main gearboxes (MGB), tail gearboxes (TGB), bevel gear and epicyclic components for AS350, EC130/H130 and AS355 platforms.

In the avionics segment, StandardAero is authorised to undertake the modification, repair, testing and overhaul of radio systems, instruments and related equipment.

Its structural capabilities include line- and depot-level repairs and modifications involving composite, sheet-metal, tubular and wooden structures.

The renewed approval also includes non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities, including liquid penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.

The continued DGAC Chile recognition forms part of StandardAero’s broader international certification network, allowing the MRO provider to support operators and aircraft owners across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.

With CMAE No. E-133 now renewed through July 2028, StandardAero will continue providing approved MRO support to customers operating Chilean-registered aircraft and components.
